Mike Brooks
Lead Vocals, Drums, Percussion
Mike’s musical journey began in childhood, singing in church and playing drums from age seven—even performing halftime shows in full football gear. He launched a mobile DJ business early on and later toured the East Coast as drummer and lead vocalist for EXPRESS.
In 1987, he joined Southbound, performing Country, Rock, Top 40, and Beach music across the Carolinas and Virginia, while also spending time with The Entertainers.
After Southbound, Mike teamed up with Dewey Young and Brian Ramsey, and together they formed The Konnection Band. One rehearsal was all it took for him to step in as front man.
Today, he’s doing what he loves most—singing, playing, and entertaining—grateful to be part of The “KONNECTION”.

Dave’s first musical influence was sitting and watching his mother play a mean stride piano. As a multi-keyboardist, Dave has recorded with several country, blues, and reggae artists, and has written a number of originals. His style is rooted in blues and country. Having studied jazz theory and classical technique, he is constantly looking to advance his musical skills.
In addition to music, Dave is an avid photographer and enjoys shooting street and performance photography. He is also a culinary school graduate, but is most comfortable on stage entertaining. Nothing fulfills his spirt more than creating music for others to enjoy.
When he’s not performing, Dave enjoys relaxing at his home in Kenly, NC. He is grateful for the support of his family and friends.
